Preserving resources

Preserving resources

As resources become scarcer, their preservation and protection should be a collective priority and responsibility. Resources that are less intensively consumed, more efficiently used and less damaged are resources that will likely still be available in the future.

idtchina develops innovative and sustainable solutions to conserve resources, extracting only what is strictly necessary from the right place, at the right time and using the right methods. idtchina also optimises the use of resources to maintain their quality and efficiency throughout the usage cycle, and minimises downstream impact to protect the health of humans and the environment.

idtchina promotes circular economy with energy and water self-sufficient sludge treatment plant

At Hong Kong sludge treatment facility T▪PARK, idtchina achieves “zero effluent discharge” by using electricity generated in the incineration process to power the plant, and recycling wastewater for other on-site water usage, preserving both energy and water resources.

  • Electricity generated: 14 MW per day
  • Water recycled: 600 m3 per day

idtchina optimises energy efficiency with district cooling system

idtchina uses two underground cooling plants to supply chilled water to a mixed development area, achieving higher energy efficiency with less space. The plants were awarded the “LEED Gold Certificate” for their sustainable building features and are projected to save up to 85kWh in electricity consumption.

  • Area served: 1.7 million m2 cooling GFA
